SALES ASSOCIATE AND EVERYTHING HELPER 

FULL TIME ONLY, MUST WORK FULL 11-7 WEEKEND SHIFTS

At Rummage Community Thrift, our mission is to foster creativity, ignite curiosity, and create connections for the purpose of encouraging self expression, normalizing sustainability and strengthening our community through the operation of a vibrant and socially conscious thrift store. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while gaining a deeply rewarding employment experience.


Responsibilities:

-Work efficiently on self-assigned tasks while collaborating with equally self-motivated coworkers

-Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with inquiries, locating items, and offering product recommendations.

-Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and priced.

-Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

-Receive and process donated items, assessing their quality and categorizing them appropriately.

-Collaborate with team members to create visually appealing displays and promotional signage.

-Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and conducting regular stock checks.

-Actively promote sales, discounts, and special promotions to maximize store revenue.

-Adhere to workplace safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and staff.


Qualifications:


-Must be extremely self motivated and comfortable working independently.

-Love organizing

-Be super creative

-Confident and outgoing (or the ability to fake it while working ;))

-Passion for clothing and knowledge of the secondhand market.

-Retail experience is not required but is an asset.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Detail-oriented with a keen eye for organization and visual merchandising.

-Commitment to the thrift store's mission and values, including sustainability and community engagement.
